is an established, Ohio-based artist who has been professionally showing her artwork since 1980. Her art embraces and reflects her life-long fascination with the American West and her love for natural horsemanship. She started drawing the equine image at the tender age of four years and was encouraged to pursue her talents through local scholarships awarded by area studios. Her career advanced in her high school and college years as she received further recognition through national level awards. In 1985, she received a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from the Columbus College of Art and Design. She specializes in photorealism expressed through acrylic painting, pencil renderings and pastels.
Ms. Cozzens married in 1989 and began raising her two children. Her family life has always included her farm, her beloved quarter horses and her artistic expressions of their beauty, power and inspiration. While her children were young, Ms. Cozzens continued to exhibit her art work at local juried shows, exhibits at the N.R.H.A. reining horse Futurity in
Oklahoma, the Columbus Equine Affaire, and Woods Gallery. Her work has graced the magazine covers of OQHA TODAY.
